Field Training Officers are the core of the Pekin Police Department. They train new hires and Lateral transfers in the patrol tactics, policy’s and procedures of the Pekin Police Department. Field Training Officers are selected on a volunteer basis and no officer is forced to be a Field Training Officer. This selection process results in Officers who are dedicated and passionate about the training mission and have the hearts of teachers. This process turns out highly knowledgeable and motivated Officers to patrol the streets of the City Of Pekin.
